Joan Collins Autograph

Joan Collins is a British actress and author. She was born on 23 May 1933 in Paddington, London, England.

She made her film debut, in a minor role, on the British comedy Bikini Baby (1951) and her first breakthrough was as Norma Hart on I Believe in You (1952). Since then, she has appeared and starred in many films during her early career and after a break from acting, she came back and took up most roles in television, which included the role as The Siren in the original television series of Batman (1967). She would eventually take on the role of Alexis Carrington in the American soap opera, Dynasty (1981-89) and made her a popular household name. She is also has a career as an author and wrote many fiction and non-fiction novels, including Prime Time (1988), My Secrets (1994), Star Quality (2002) and The World According to Joan (2011), and an additional four autobiographies. • People's Choice Award for Favourite Female TV Performer (1985)

• Honoured as a Dame by the Queen for her services to charity (2015)
